TWIU Members Sign a Joint Proclamation
A joint Proclamation was signed by representatives of the insurance associations of the Turkic states during the First Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union (TWIU), held in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
Under the Proclamation, the Turkic World Insurance Union was re-established in accordance with the goals and principles of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), marking a new stage in the Union’s institutional development.
Alongside its five founding members — the insurance associations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan — the Union expanded its institutional framework with the participation of the insurance institutions of Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as observer members.
The primary objective of the Turkic World Insurance Union is to strengthen cooperation among the insurance markets of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States by promoting the exchange of experience, professional expertise and information, developing systematic reinsurance cooperation, and contributing to the sustainable and resilient development of insurance markets across the Turkic world.
